Policy

Setting the standard, giving direction

The ACMHN actively contributes to policy discussion on mental health nursing in Australia. Representing the profession to politicians, policymakers and healthcare organisations is an important part of our work. The College regularly prepares submissions and position statements, and sits on various committees and roundtables to push for greater integration of mental health nurses in Australia's mental health care services through measures such as broader access to Medicare Benefits Schedule items and wider recognition of credentialing.
