Advocating for Mental Health Nurses as a Workforce Solution

The ACMHN is committed to positive consumer outcomes and advocates that specialist-qualified Mental Health Nurses are essential to achieving this. This position paper outlines initiatives to improve outcomes for our communities.

Apology to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People

The ACMHN has issued an apology to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, acknowledging the ongoing harm caused by colonial practices within the mental health nursing profession and recognising the role mental health nurses have played in creating health disparities among Indigenous communities.

Position Statement: Clinical Supervision for Nurses and Midwives

A joint statement developed with the Australian College of Midwives and the Australian College of Nursing. Recommends that access to regular clinical supervision be available for all nurses and midwives irrespective of their specific role, area of practice, and years of experience.
