About the organisation
The Monash Health ECT program operates across 4 hospital campuses including Dandenong, Clayton, Kingston and Casey. Our service delivery includes inpatient, and day stay patients. This ECT Coordinator role is a fixed term position until February 2024, this will be a part time role, 48hours per fortnight, working Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The position will be primarily based at Kingston ECT Suite, located in Cheltenham. When necessary, the coordinator will be required to support the other ECT sites at other Monash Health campuses.
About the role
This is a great career opportunity for a qualified Mental Health Nurse to work in a specialist ECT role, The ECT Coordinator is a role that will allow you to influence and lead the day to day running of the ECT suite, coordinating the multidisciplinary team, ensuring high standard and excellent care is provide to consumers during their course of ECT. This position works closely with the inpatient and community based Aged Persons Mental Health services and Monash Health Anaesthetics, Theatre clinicians and Psychiatrists.

Are you a qualified experienced Mental Health Nurse looking to take the next step in your career. You have excellent communication and engagement skills and have experience in the specialist area of ECT treatment and coordination, and the ability to lead and manage the day-to-day operations of an ECT suite which includes coordinating a clinical team focused on quality care and support for patients, their families and care providers.

Qualifications and experience
- A bachelor in Mental Health Nursing or holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing
- Current AHPRA registration
- Successfully completed an Approved ECT Training Course
- Experience in ECT Care Coordination
- Mental Health Nursing proven clinical experience specifically adult and aged psychiatry.
- Excellent communication skills and engagement with key stakeholders including consumers and carers with mental illness
