About the organisation
Joining a dynamic and enthusiastic team within Mental Health Services based in Mount Gambier, you will provide proficient, person centred, clinical nursing care and/or individual case management to consumers in mental health settings.
About the role
This is a highly rewarding role where you will have the chance to work with individuals where there are multiple complexities and diverse cultural backgrounds. You will be responsible for monitoring consumer care plans to ensure appropriate care outcomes are achieved on a daily basis, as well as overseeing the provision of nursing within a team/unit. In addition, you will provide evidence based health education, counselling, and/or therapeutic/rehabilitation programs to improve the health outcomes of individual consumers or groups. Participation in clinical auditing, clinical trials and/or evaluative research will also form as part of your core duties.
Qualifications and experience
Registered as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, you will hold a current practising certificate. With demonstrated competence in Mental Health practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice, you will possess sound knowledge of contemporary professional nursing/midwifery and health care issues. You will bring to the table considerable experience in the management and leadership roles in a multidisciplinary team, including the leadership, supervision and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses / clinicians. A team player with a positive "can do" attitude, you will have the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team together with the ability to be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within the healthcare setting.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Screening/Check and specific immunisation requirements. COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement under the Public Health Act 2011 (Healthcare Setting Workers Vaccination) (COVID-19) to work in SA Health/health care setting.
