Hon Meredith Hammat MLA, WA Minister for Health

In March 2025, Meredith was promoted to the Minister for Health and Mental Health, taking on one of the most significant portfolios in the State Government. 

Meredith has held a number of positions on WA Government boards and advisory committees, including the State Training Board, the Sustainable Health Review, My Leave (the Construction Industry Long Service Leave Fund) and the LNG Jobs Taskforce.


Monica Taylor

Monica Taylor is the Deputy Commissioner, Commissioning and Programs at the Mental Health Commission.

Monica has a passion for Mental Health, having been a mental Health Nurse for over 30 years, with a history of working in the hospital and health care industry within the WA Health sector. During her time at the Mental Health Commission, Monica has led the development of the WA Mental Health Nurse Capability framework, and as the Deputy Commissioner Commissioning and Programs, continues to apply her clinical governance expertise in the development of mental health services and their commissioning frameworks.


Colin Robinson

Colin Robinson is an experienced healthcare informatics leader with a background in mental health nursing and computing. As Assistant Director of Nursing - Mental Health Informatics, he plays a key role in optimising digital strategies for mental health services. Colin holds a Computer Science degree from the University of Tasmania and worked in senior software development roles before transitioning to healthcare. In 2011, he completed a Bachelor of Nursing at Griffith University, gaining diverse experience in mental health across various settings. 

Colin's leadership roles, including Clinical Nurse Consultant and Nurse Unit Manager, have strengthened his expertise in mental health care and crisis intervention. Colin specialises in Azure, SQL, JavaScript, React, Next.js, and MUI, focusing on digital transformation in mental health. He leverages data analytics and automation to enhance patient flow and care outcomes. As a confident presenter, Colin recently hosted the Gold Coast Mental Health Awards, celebrating excellence in the field.


Claire Kullack

Claire Kullack is a Credentialed Mental Health Nurse, Psychological Trauma Therapist, and Accredited EMDR Trainer with nearly 30 years of experience working with a variety of individuals with a range of mental health issues and concerns. She specialises in the prevention of, and treatment and recovery from psychological trauma, working with civilians and first responders. Claire provides innovative and internationally recognised therapies to support her clients’ recovery. She holds a Bachelor of Science Nursing from Curtin University (1996) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing from RMIT (2015).

Claire has completed the Harvard Medical School Global Mental Health: Trauma and Recovery Certificate and is skilled in EMDR, Psychedelic Assisted Therapy, Prolonged Exposure therapy, Internal Family System-informed therapy, Structural Dissociation, Brainspotting, Deep Brain Reorienting, Thought Field Therapy, Schema Therapy, and Mindfulness. In collaboration with Dr. Jon Laugharne, she co-developed the Pax Centre for Traumatic Stress in 2014. Claire has also held roles within the EMDR space.


Sean Hewitt

Sean Hewitt is a veteran with 26 years in the Australian army, including time overseas, and comes from a proud military family. After leaving service, he found purpose in peer work and now leads a team of lived experience workers at Open Arms, supporting veterans, family families and carers. Sean's invaluable input is actively sought by a wide range of clinicians who rely on his unique insights to gain a deeper understanding of veterans and their families enabling them to collaboratively develop and facilitate access to the bespoke mental health care these individuals truly deserve. 

Beyond the clinical setting, Sean's expertise extends to external stakeholders and agencies seeking to develop a comprehensive understanding of military life and its profound impact on the mental health of those who serve.


Joshua Clancy

Joshua Clancy is a dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse and Health Informatician. In his role as Clinical Nurse Consultant - Mental Health Informatics at Gold Coast Health, Joshua serves as the Product Owner for digital health products like the eMental Health Journey Board, eVisual Observations, and eSupervision. He works closely with both inpatient and community mental health teams to design tailored digital solutions that enhance existing workflows and improve service delivery. 

Currently pursuing a Master of Data Science, Joshua's goal is to remain in the nursing field while expanding his expertise to work across disciplines. By combining skills and perspectives from various areas, he aims to create innovative solutions that address the growing digital health needs and improve consumer outcomes in healthcare.
