Allied Health MasterClass: Reflective Practice and Parallel Process (videoconference)

Delivered via interactive videoconference (Zoom platform). This workshop is a one-day Master Class which covers theory and practice in implementing a reflective practice framework within a competency-based supervision model of practice. Participants will develop meta competencies for setting up, facilitating and evaluating supervisee reflectivity in practice. Participants will learn the process of dialogical reflectivity using the micro skill of immediacy in supervision to facilitate relational engagement and develop supervisee relational competence.

The workshop will assume supervisors already have the foundational core competencies of establishing a competency-based framework for supervision as this workshop will extend on this knowledge in using reflexivity-in-action. In response to COVID-19, additional information is covered regarding how to apply reflective practice remotely using Telehealth means of delivery for both individual and group supervision formats. Relational factors such as client-supervisee-supervisor parallel processes will also be examined, with critical reflection of the supervisor- supervisee dynamics.
