Allied Health MasterClass: Supervision for Trauma Informed Practice (Videoconference)

Delivered via interactive videoconference (Zoom platform). This workshop is a one day Master Class which provides participants with an opportunity to critically examine the practice of competency based supervision across the different pathways within a trauma informed practice lens. The study of neurobiology has made a significant impact in recent years on deepening knowledge about the effects of abuse related trauma.
This workshop will provide supervisors with: 

  • Knowledge and skills to help the supervisee better understanding the complexities of working therapeutically with clients who have experienced trauma 
  • Insight into the personal, professional, organisational impact of trauma 
  • Supervision strategies and processes to ensure that trauma informed practice remains at the forefront of practice when working with clients who have experienced trauma 
  • A framework/model of reflective practice in trauma-informed supervision management 
    In response to COVID-19, additional information is covered regarding the challenges of working within an environment of rapid change and stress and working with clients impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
