About This Event
The ACMHN Victorian Branch invites you to attend an in-person body mapping workshop. This is a unique opportunity to connect with others, deeply reflect, and creatively explore your personal and professional identity as a Mental Health Nurse.
Body mapping involves the creation of a visual self-portrait using colour, collage, metaphor, and symbol. The workshop will include art-based warm-up activities, mindfulness, and multiple materials with creative support provided throughout.
No artistic experience is required – just an openness to explore.

Cameron Marshman

Credentialed Mental Health Nurse and Health Professions Educator
Cameron is a Credentialed Mental Health Nurse and health professions educator. He is a Senior Lecturer at the Monash Centre for Scholarship in Health Education and works clinically at Peninsula Health.
Cameron has a deep interest in compassion in healthcare and a passion for art-based health research and education. His PhD project, Cultivating Compassion, explored lived embodied experiences of compassion in mental healthcare using body mapping as a visual art-based approach to data collection.
His work sits at the intersection of health humanities and creative pedagogies, exploring how these can uplift humanistic practices within healthcare and enhance the wellbeing of those in caring professions.
