Human connections: the foundation of suicide formulation presentation hosted by Psychotherapy SIG
Towards Zero Suicide and the Safeside Framework provides clinicians with a consistent holistic approach to suicide prevention. Connecting is at the heart of this framework with the quality of the therapeutic relationship strongly correlated with outcomes.
Presenter: Kerry Mawson RN, GCert (HEd), MHSc, MMH, CDAN, MACMHN
Kerry Mawson is a credentialed registered nurse with qualifications in mental health, drug and alcohol, counselling and higher education. Kerry has worked in a variety of clinical areas including drug and alcohol services, adult mental health and adolescent services. Kerry has held a teaching position at a National University for 13 years whilst maintaining her clinical practice in various roles at a major teaching hospital. She is a Clinical Supervisor, Panel Member for the Nursing and Midwifery Council and regularly speaks at training days and conferences. Currently, Kerry works as an Educational Consultant for Mental Health Drug and Alcohol Services at a local health district in Sydney NSW.
