Working with groups hosted by Psychotherapy SIG
This session will provide an overview of group work in various clinical settings. We’ll explore therapeutic factors and skills needed for effective group therapy in the hope that more clinicians will feel empowered to work in this rewarding space.
Deb Hediger is a Credentialed Mental Health Nurse and registered counsellor in private practice. Deb has delivered group therapy in both inpatient and outpatient settings for clients experiencing diverse life experiences.
Beginning first as a co-facilitator, then later stepping up to lead groups for specific therapeutic groups such as: anxiety, mood, trauma, and skills based support groups.
