The ACMHN Southern QLD Branch is pleased to invite members and guests to join us in person in Brisbane for a brunch session to hear from members of the Queensland Select Committee and other keynote speakers on the recent Inquiry Into The Opportunities To Improve Mental Health Outcomes For Queenslanders. On Thursday 2 December 2021, the Mental Health Select Committee was established to conduct an inquiry into the opportunities to improve mental health outcomes for Queenslanders and report back to the House by Tuesday 31 May 2022. This event invites speakers to provide an overview of their contribution and findings, and provide attendees with an insight into the contributions and outcomes from the Inquiry. We have planned this event in June following the scheduled outcome at the end of May to discuss how the findings are going to impact on mental health nursing in Queensland. Workforce, professional development, and scope of practice will be areas we will look to discuss at the event to provide mental health nurses with an understanding of the inquiry and implications for Mental Services and Mental Health Nursing going forward.
We invite you to join us and hope to see you there!
